John Paulding School School Psychologist / Bilingual (Spanish)Probationary Tenure TrackPrimary Functions: • Manages MTSS process and other such meetings.• Conducts psychological assessments, testing, and diagnostic examinations of students to recommend courses of action or corrective procedures to maximize learning and overcome psychological issues.• Serves as a resource to students to provide counseling.• Current knowledge of best practices in educating students with disabilities in inclusive school environments.• Ability to effectively facilitate group decision-making processes.• Thorough knowledge of current federal and state regulations governing CPSE, CSE, and Section 504; will serve as the CPSE chair as needed.• Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.• Demonstrates leadership in working collaboratively with parents, teachers, students, building and district leaders.• Coordinates with administrators and other teaching staff members to ascertain individual student's abilities and needs, including students with special needs, and to familiarize stakeholders with psychological services.• Serves as a resource and consultant on mental health and child psychology, and conducts in-service programs as requested.• Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping.• Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents.CERTIFICATION: New York State School PsychologistEFFECTIVE: September 1, 2024 (You will be expected to attend New Teacher Orientation, August 23, 26, 27, and Supt. Days August 28, 29). Salary and benefits per the TAT Contract, $77,000 - $120,000 based on experience and education.
