PRIMARY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepares financial statements and reports; member school district’s payment plan; creates billing statements; monitors accounts receivable, reconciles payments; process 3rd party athletic software vendor requests, acting as liaison with SW BOCES Business Office.Performs and assists with payment of officials each sports season, audits pay vouchers for accuracy and alignment with certified officials’ contract; acting as liaison with SW BOCES Business Office to assist with school billing and the payment of officials.Audits and enters claims for service; performs and assists with processing of scrimmage payments.Codes disbursements in software programs; performs and assists with the entry and processing of additional contractual fees within athletic management software program.Performs or assists with contract interpretations related to fees owed and the overall maintenance and oversight of owed contractual fees associated with payment.Facilitates the processing of hotel and busing contracts, facility contracts, certificates of insurance, certificates of exemption, etc. for all sports and championship events.Assists in assembling and analyzing financial data for reports. Prepares and assists with seasonal officials’ reconciliation reports utilized for the billing of schools via SW BOCES Business Office. In addition, assists with the preparation of the annual budget for the Center for Interscholastic Athletics.Maintains budgetary controls on receipts and expenditures; generates and manages purchase orders/requisitions for the Center for Interscholastic Athletics.May assign and supervise the work of other clerical employees involved in the work. CIVIL SERVICE QUALIFICATIONS:An Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a closely related field, which must have included a minimum of 15 credits in accounting, and two (2) years work experience where the primary function of the position was accounting, auditing, or bookkeeping.SUBSTITUTION: A Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a closely related field, including a minimum of 15 credits in Accounting, may be substitutes for the two years work experience described above.Priority given to candidates who are currently on a Civil Service List for this title.Candidates must have either taken or be eligible to take the Civil Service Exam for this title and be reachable by the rule if three on the list.
