STORY PLACE PRESCHOOL, INC.JOB DESCRIPTION: SPEECH PATHOLOGIST Title: Speech PathologistLocation: Story Place Preschool, Inc.Person Responsible To: Preschool Leader and Story Place Preschool, Inc.Number of Staff Supervised: 0Education and/or Experience Prerequisites: Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology/ Communication Disorders III.Basic Function:Evaluate the need for and provide services in Speech and Language programs for identified children with Speech and Language goals written on their IFSP/IEP. IV. Responsibilities:A. Perform diagnostic testing in areas of receptive/expressive language, articulation, voice and fluency.B. Plan and implement daily speech and language programs.1. Monitor progress and complete IFSP/IEP updates and progress reports.2. Participate in daily program planning in conjunction with entire educational team.3. Maintain written and oral communication with parents/caregivers.4. Consult weekly with classroom teams to give speech/language input.5. Consult and collaborate with other professional staff in-evaluating and planning care for children.6. Supervise clinical fellows in speech and language.7. Attend all meetings related to this position.8. Maintain professional growth in the field of speech and language.9. Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establish personal networks; participate in relevant in-services and conferences.10. Adhere to the policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook.11. Provide assistance to the Preschool Leader as requested
