MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: New York State certification in Special Education that includes Grades 6-8 is required. Applicants must be appropriately certified prior to the start of employment DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Additional certifications in special education and/or regular education content areas, ENL, Reading. A minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a Special Class and/or Integrated Co-Teaching setting. Evaluation facilitation experience for Initial and Annual/Re-Evaluation Reviews. Knowledge of Google Classroom and instructional technology. Bilingual communication skills preferred.
