The successful candidate will provide instruction and support for students in English 11 in Integrated Co-Teaching and Special Class sections. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will attend faculty and department meetings as required and participate in special education (CSE) and team meetings when applicable.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: New York State certificationStudents with Disabilities English 7-12 or English Language Arts 7-12 and Special Education Certification. Applicants must be appropriately certified prior to the start of employment. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: 3 years of experience with secondary students. Involvement in appropriate State and national organizations. Knowledge of Google Classroom and instructional technology. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Bilingual communication skills preferred.
