The successful candidate will support the students within the FAST program throughout the school day and will be required to support other teachers within the Special Education Department as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:NYS Teaching Certification Applicants must be appropriately certified prior to the start of employment.DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:Previous classroom teaching experience.Knowledge of and experience teaching within classrooms with students with disabilities.Experience with small group instruction.Curriculum development experience for support and enrichment services.Knowledge of Google Classroom and instructional technology.Demonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Bilingual communication skills.APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO HOLD A CURRENT TEACHING CERTIFICATIONTeacher Assistant positions are full-time and include benefits.
