Anticipated leave replacement positions exist in multiple buildings.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:New York State certification as a School Counselor.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:1 - 3 years of school counseling experience is preferred.Experience with Student and Information Management Systems (e.g. Powerschool) preferred.Experience with student scheduling.Bilingual communication skills.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:Monitoring and recording student progress.Assisting students with creating an academic plan for their education including scheduling for the following year.Collaborating with other educators and administrators to ensure counseling programs meet school/district goals.Participating in Instructional Support Team meetings.Maintaining regular and open communication with parents.Identifying and making appropriate referrals to meet and support students' academic, social and/or mental health needs.Delivering guidance lessons.Providing orientations, workshops and other public speaking events.TITLE: School CounselorSALARY: Long Term Substitute Rate and/or as per STA ContractLOCATION: District WideEFFECTIVE: 8/22/2022APPLY BY: 7/12/2022Applications for the above positions are to be made by submitting a cover letter including the posting number, two professional references and a resume on OLAS addressed to Neil D.
