Duties include collaborative teaching, IEP implementation, parent communication and CSE attendance as needed.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:New York State certification in Special Education K-12 or 5-9 (must include Special Education Gr. 6).Applicants must be appropriately certified prior to the start of employment.DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:Math certification in addition to Special Education is preferred but not required.1-3 years teaching experience in a middle school setting is preferred.Direct experience teaching Grade 6 Math in a regular education or special education setting.Demonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Bilingual communication skills preferred.TITLE: P/T (.4) Special Education TeacherSALARY: As per STA ContractLOCATION: .3 AMS/.1 NMS EFFECTIVE: 8/27/2025 - 6/30/2026APPLICATION DEADLINE: 6/26/2025The location of the above noted vacancy is subject to change based on the needs of the district.
