Southern Cayuga CSD is seeking applicants for a 1.0 FTE tenure track Library Media Specialist. There is one Library Media Specialist for the district who staffs the Jr/Sr High School Library. The Library Media Specialist focuses on teaching and collaborating at the grades 5-12 levels, while a Library Assistant concentrates on maintaining the library and lessons for the PK-4 levels. The positions main responsibilities include:Maintain print, digital books, databases, and media materials for both school librariesEstablish instruction in library/media center skills and literature in accordance with library curriculum PK-12 with a focus on digital literacy skillsCreate and maintain a Library/Media website for students and staff to access research materialWork with SCCS Faculty and Staff on support systems to enhance classroom instruction
