Mathematics & STEAM Teacher - Scarsdale High School Scarsdale (NY) High School seeks a talented, full-time professional with experience teaching mathematics and programming, starting January 30, 2023. The school spans grades 9-12, and offers a rich and varied educational program to the high-achieving student population of approximately 1500 students. The school community boasts an accomplished faculty and staff, along with an active, supportive parent body. Scarsdale High School focuses on creating a highly challenging, nurturing, and supportive intellectual environment. The successful candidate will have an open mind, innovative mindset, and willingness to continually learn new skills and methodologies. Expertise is required in teaching design processes, engineering concepts and prototyping techniques in the context of a design, engineering, and entrepreneurship sequence. A New York State Teaching Certificate in math is required, and additional related certifications, such as science or technology, are preferred. A strong engineering background is preferred, as well as expertise with database development, digital logic and circuit designs, as well as physical computing and robotic systems.
