Position(s:) 504 Coordinator for grades 10-12 504 Coordinator for grades 7-9 School: Jr. / Sr. High School Effective: July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027 Description for Grades 10-12 Position Summary: The 504 Coordinator for Grades 10-12 in the Saugerties Central School District is responsible for the coordination, implementation, and monitoring of Section 504 plans to ensure equitable access to educational opportunities for all students. This position plays a critical role ensuring that students with disabilities are supported academically, socially, and emotionally in the general education environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee the development, implementation, & annual review of 504 plans for students in grades 10-12. Maintain accurate and confidential, records in alignment with district procedures (Frontline 504) Attend 504 meetings, including eligibility determinations, annual reviews, and re-evaluations Collaborate with the Special Education Lead teacher in regard to testing accommodations Student Support Collaborate with school staff to identify and support students requiring accommodations Ensure that accommodations are shared with staff Family & Staff Collaboration Primary liaison for families regarding the 504 process, ensuring clear, and timely communication Ensure all timelines for reviews and re-evaluations are met Assist in scheduling testing with accommodations Transition Planning (Grade 12 Focus) Coordinate transition of 504 plans from HS to post secondary Collaborate with families to ensure smooth handoff of plans and services Qualifications: Certification in School Counseling, School Psychology, Social Work, or Teaching preferred Demonstrated knowledge of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and student support services Experience working with High School students (grades 10-12) preferred Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills Work Year / Terms 10-month position in accordance with the Saugerties Central School District contract Stipend per applicable collective bargaining agreement Description For Grades 7-9 Position Summary: The 504 Coordinator for Grades 7–9 in the Saugerties Central School District is responsible for the coordination, implementation, and monitoring of Section 504 plans to ensure equitable access to educational opportunities for all students.
