ANTICIPATED VACANCY Position: Elementary School Counselor, K-5 (Full-Time, Probationary, Tenure-Track) Available: August 29, 2022 for the 2022-23 school year Qualifications:Valid NYS School Counselor Certification (required)Responsibilities:Implement the Rye Neck K-12 continuum of counseling servicesMaintain strong home, school and community connectionAnalyze student data and make decisions around increasing student successAdvise and counsel students regarding academic, educational, and social and emotional topicsEnsure regular communication with families, teachers, and students regarding student progress and adjust plans as neededAssist administrators with planning and carrying out school-related programsSupport and attend appropriate student activities and eventsAssist students in developing academic plans in accordance with their skills, talents, and strengthsProvide students and families with information on career and/or educational opportunitiesTeach school counseling related curriculumSupport social and emotional learningMaintain recordsBe accessible to students, family and staffAssist students/parents in understanding school policies and proceduresCollaborate with all stakeholdersBilingual (Spanish, preferred) Application Deadline: Open until filled.
