MUSIC TEACHER PROBATIONARY POSITION SEPTEMBER 2026 ELEMENTARY LEVEL QUALIFICATIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES : The Roosevelt UFSD is seeking an energetic, passionate, dedicated, and student-centered Music teacher that is a Team Player and has an unwavering focus on student outcomes, particularly in the area of Music and Choral Music Education. This individual is a visible school community member, exceptional communicator who promotes creativity, and innovation. NYSED Music Certification Required Demonstrated ability to teach Elementary music curriculum as mandated by the NYSED Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, staff and parents Teaches skills in music understanding/appreciation, harmony, explorations in music and choral music Provides individual and small group instruction in order to adapt to the music curriculum Encourages students to develop individual musical skills to the greatest extent possible Collaborate with Building Principal and staff in providing high-quality musical programs for school assemblies, concerts, school events, community engagements, and seasonal programs.
