ATHLETIC TRAINER - POSITION AVAILABLE 2023-2024 School YearPOSITION: Athletic TrainerPosition will function approximately 30 hours per week or as coordinated with the Athletic DirectorLOCATION: School Buildings, Athletic Fields & FacilitiesQUALIFICATIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES: NYS Certified Athletic Trainer Licensure with current NATA Board of CertificationCurrent First Aid, CPR, AED certificationYearly CDC Concussion ManagementDASA TrainingChild Abuse Identification and ReportingFirst Aid, CPR/AED Instructor preferredProviding emergency care and first aid at practices and contestsAttends Football games, all home contests, playoff contests, and any other activities as directedAssist in the rehabilitation of injured athletesApply tape, braces, bandages, etc., prior to practices/gamesOversee concussion return to play protocolEducate coaches and players on injury prevention including strength and conditioning, nutrition and flexibilityAdministrative tasks such as the budget for equipment, purchases, injury reports, treatment logsCommunicate with Nursing Staff, Chief Medical Officer, Athletic Director and ParentsSALARY: Competitiveapply for this POSITION by completing a cover letter resume and applicationThe Roosevelt UFSD is an equal opportunity employer.
