POSITIONS AVAILABLE: SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS SEPTEMBER 2026 SECONDARY LEVEL OPPORTUNITIES QUALIFICATIONS/PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: NYSED SPECIAL EDUCATION / STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES CERTIFICATION PRIORITY - DUAL CERTIFICATION WITH EARTH SCIENCE PRIORITY - SPECIAL EDUCATION GENERALIST EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH LIFE SKILLS STUDENTS Multiple Content Certifications a Plus Demonstrated ability to teach Special Education curriculum as mandated by the NYSED Develop an Individualized Education Program (IEP) for each student Assess student progress to inform students of growth and to modify instruction Maintaining records of pupils' progress and development with high integrity Creating and maintaining a positive classroom environment Building relationships with parents by communicating frequently to inform them of student academic and personal growth SALARY: Salary commensurate with experience / Pursuant to RTA Collective Bargaining Agreement .
