(2)POSITIONS: Assistant Principal High School (1) Assistant Principal Middle School (1) PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS : The High School/Middle School Assistant Principal is an energetic, dynamic, and student-centered administrator that collaborates well with the TEAM and has an unwavering focus on student outcomes. This individual is a visible leader and promotes creativity, innovation, and supports staff to build expertise and a positive school community environment. Must hold NYSED SDA or SAS/SBL Administrative Certification Promotes and provides for a positive, respectful school culture and establishes and maintains highly effective working relationships with the principal and staff Has a positive Growth Mindset and promotes Collective Efficacy among staff and faculty Be a champion for all Roosevelt students, their families, and District staff to prepare for a successful academic and professional future Collaborates with District staff, parents, and students to increase student attendance and assess and implement strategies for improvement Creates a culture of high achievement, social and emotional wellness, and graduation rates through positive interactions with students and their families Working knowledge of New York State requirements for Students with Disabilities and English Language Learners Willingness and initiative to learn and grow professionally and to support District initiatives Assist with the daily operation of the school including our student management system, parental involvement, progress reports, student schedules, master schedules, and attendance Demonstrates exceptional knowledge and skills in the use of instructional technology Expertise in data analysis, Instructional Data Warehouse (IDW), cohort trends, gap analysis, etc. Provides strong instructional leadership actively cultivating highly effective teaching and learning practices in all classrooms and for all students Bilingual Spanish a plus Related Duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools, Executive Cabinet, and/or Principal SALARY: Commensurate with Experience and the Roosevelt Administrators Association (RAA) Contract apply for this POSITION by completing a cover letter, resume and application The Roosevelt UFSD is an equal opportunity employer.
