Qualifications: Applicants must hold a valid NYS Education Department certification in either: K-6 Elementary or Science 7-12 [Science 7-12 preferred] AND one certification in the following areas: Agriculture Pre-K-12Natural Resources & Ecology 7-12Plant Science 7-12Agricultural Engineering & Mechanics 7-12Agricultural Production, Science, and Business 7-12Animal Science 7-12 NYSED Fingerprint ClearanceSalary: Per Contract General Responsibilities: The successful candidate will teach Agriculture based courses to students in grades 9-12 at the High School. In addition to teaching, they will lead our Future Farmers of America program (FFA) at the HS and start the program at the JHS, along with researching both CTE certification and the AGXplore CASE course. The Rondout Valley Agriculture Education Program’s overall goal is to refine the District’s offerings in agriculture education and make the program a true pathway to graduation. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:25am-2:35pmAdditional Duties: Performs other related tasks as assigned by the direct report and/or Superintendent.
