The North Rockland Central School District is seeking candidates for the position of Director of Academy of Finance at North Rockland High School. This is a part-time 12- month position. The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prior experience in Finance and Accounting Prior experience working with high school students Strong ability to foster and maintain positive relationships with local businesses and organizations Ability to perform work outside of the regular school day PROFESSIONAL DUTIES: Supervise students during their internship experiences at financial services worksites throughout Rockland and Bergen counties Order supplemental materials for various courses as necessary Review staff development and curriculum materials Work with Deputy Superintendent to make recommendations for curriculum and activities Meet with the Chairman of the Advisory Board to discuss the Academy’s activities for the school year Prepare agenda and attend all Academy of Finance Advisory Board meetings Complete required paperwork to ensure that Academy of Finance courses have NYSED approval for a 5 unit sequence Complete and file all reports required by the National Academy Foundation Attend professional conferences and events related to assignment to remain current about program opportunities Serve as liaison with colleges and universities regarding courses, programs and scholarship opportunities for Academy of Finance students Research and apply for potential professional grants to benefit that Academy of Finance Coordinate and supervise the process of student interviews and selection Communicate with staff, families and students regarding information and expectations about the Academy of Finance Work with Administration to prepare the budget for the Academy of Finance Advocate for and promote the Academy of Finance through various outlets (e.g., school newspaper, social media, District newsletters, presentations, etc.)
