The North Rockland (Haverstraw-Stony Point) Central School District is seeking candidates for Physical Therapists for our Extended School Year (ESY) services from July 6, 2026 - August 14, 2026. The ideal candidates will be passionate about working with children and adolescents with diverse physical abilities and needs. Key Responsibilities : Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) with measurable goals and objectives to address students' physical therapy needs Provide direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs, utilizing evidence-based interventions and techniques Collaborate with teachers, other related service providers, and parents/guardians to integrate physical therapy goals into the overall educational program Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other required paperwork in compliance with district policies and state regulations Participate in team meetings, including IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings, to discuss student progress, goals, and strategies Adhere to professional and ethical standards as outlined by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and relevant state licensing board Qualifications : Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York Certification in School-Based Physical Therapy preferred Experience working with children and adolescents with diverse physical disabilities and developmental delays Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
