The North Rockland (Haverstraw-Stony Point) Central School District is seeking candidates for the provisional position of Coordinator- Special Projects. This is a 12-month position which includes a regionally competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. This is a provisional appointment, and all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications determined by Rockland County Civil Service.Assist in the development and implementation of various policies and procedures related to District’s Universal Pre-K programMonitor Pre-K sites as per NYSED mandates to ensure the quality of work, and identify problem areas for improvementAssist in the assessment of the effectiveness of Pre-K sites related to Pre-K services as per NYSED Office of Early Learning guidelinesResearch and assist with preparing various assigned reports (e.g., quality assurance reports, grant reports, end-of-year reports) in a timely mannerExecute and implement management of assigned District projects and programs related to Pre-K services for studentsServe as liaison between various District departments and offices to ensure new Pre-K entrants are properly processedRepresent District administration at meetings, forums and workshops related to Pre-K services, including those with parents and various community membersAssist in the implementation of the District’s UPK program by setting priorities, resolving problems, making recommendations for improvements, responding to emergencies, etc.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma and five (5) years of experience coordinating and implementing phases of projects or programs, and/or troubleshooting and resolving issues, and/or developing policies and procedures. An Associate’s degree or equivalent college credits beyond high school (a minimum of sixty (60) credits) may be substituted for two (2) years of the required experience.
