The Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered 6th Grade English Language Arts Teacher to join our Middle School faculty. The successful candidate will be committed to fostering literacy development, critical thinking, and a love of reading and writing in a diverse learning environment.ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging and standards-aligned ELA instruction consistent with the New York State Next Generation ELA Learning StandardsDevelop and implement lesson plans that address diverse learning needsCreate a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environmentUse a variety of instructional strategies, assessments, and technology to support student learningMonitor and assess student progress and provide timely feedbackCollaborate with grade-level teams, special education staff, and related service providersCommunicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and colleaguesParticipate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school eventsUphold district policies, procedures, and the code of conductQualificationsNew York State Certification in English Language Arts (Grades 5–9 or equivalent) or Childhood Education 1-6 required.
