Looking for a dynamic, creative and engaging teacher who is passionate about teaching, learning and promoting best practice in early literacy. Should offer a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) for literacy acquisition for K-5; utilizes both a push-in and pull-out model, when needed; collaborating with classroom, reading teachers, interventionist, and other professionals; administrating reading assessments such as DRA2, FastBridge and others according to district guidelines. Must have knowledge of the NYS Next Generation Standards, MTSS and NYS assessments. Candidates should be willing to engage families in early literacy practices and encourage a culture of literacy acquisition through integration, inquiry and purposeful play.Qualifications : NYS Certification - Childhood Education (1-6) and/or Elementary PK-6; Reading/Literacy B-6 preferred.
