RCS is looking for a dynamic Middle School Special Education Teacherwho is passionate about teaching and learning, creative and engaging in the classroom, and dedicated to providing specially-designed instruction to ensure all students’ needs are met. Candidates should be innovative in practice, have a strong value in the school community, and have vision in preparing our students to be civic-minded. Successful candidates should be able to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and families to help students reach high levels of success. Candidates must be able to adapt general education lessons and teach various subjects, such as reading, writing, math, and social studies. QUALIFICATIONS: NYS certification in Students with Disabilities 7-12 or 5-9 required (dual certification with a content area cert. preferred.); Students with Disabilities 1-6 will be considered if the candidate is willing to pursue extension.
