RCS is looking for a dynamic Elementary teacher who is passionate about teaching and learning, creative and engaging in the classroom, and dedicated to helping all studentssucceed. Candidates should be innovative in practice, have a strong value in school community,and have vision in preparing our students to be civic-minded. Successful candidates should beable to teach courses in ELA, math, science and social studies, utilizing the district as well as NYScurriculum Frameworks. Administer reading & amp; math assessments according to district guidelinesand other classroom responsibilities as per district expectations. Establish and maintain standardsof student behavior needed to provide an orderly, and productive environment during classsessions. Provide both academic and behavioral support using a multi-tiered approach (ie. RtI,PBIS). Communicate with families, other school staff, school administration, and students onstudent progress. Create pathways for students to be career and community aware; promoting astrong sense of civic responsibility. QUALIFICATIONS: Early Childhood (Birth-Grade 2); Childhood Education 1-6
