RCS is looking for a dynamic Earth Science Teacher who is passionate about teaching and learning, creative and engaging in the classroom, and dedicated to helping all students succeed. Candidates should be innovative in practice, have a strong value in the school community, and have vision in preparing our students to be civic-minded. Successful candidates should be able to teach Earth Science lab components. Candidate will be expected to: Discuss student’s progress with parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators. Establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to provide an orderly classroom environment. Engage students in being active participants in the learning process. Provide both academic and behavioral support using a multi-tiered approach (ie. RtI, PBIS). Create pathways for students to be career and community aware; promoting a strong sense of civic responsibility. Utilize Google classroom. QUALIFICATIONS: NYS Earth Science 7-12 Teacher certification. Dual certification in NYS General Science 7-12 preferred.
