Starting 9/3/24 - Questar III BOCES announces a full-time (1.0 FTE) position to teach our Career Development and Occupational Studies (CDOS) credential course at our Marilyn A. Noonan School at Durham in Durham, NY. Responsibilities will also include high school electives in the area of life and work skills. This position will deliver a work-readiness curriculum based on the CDOS standards to Questar III Special Education students. The teacher is expected to collaborate with Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Special Education Teachers, as well as the Work-Readiness Coordinator, to develop work-based learning experiences in and outside the traditional classroom environment. It also requires tracking students’ units of study and the number of work-based learning hours. The CDOS Teacher is responsible for developing, organizing and implementing learning activities and curriculum that will ensure all students develop the job readiness skills that will allow them to be job-ready.Position requires certification in either: Career Technical Education (CTE – selected titles), Family & Consumer Science (FACS), Business Education, Technology Education, or Health Occupations.
