The New Lebanon Central School District is seeking a visionary leader who will work strategically with the Board of Education to create goals and programs supporting the diverse needs of our community. The preferred characteristics of the successful candidate will include:A passion for public education and an advocate for our students and staff.Experience as a teacher, building principal, central office administrator or superintendent (and is certified or eligible for state certification as a school district administrator).Strong background in budgeting, capital projects, labor negotiations, and facilities management.The ability to recognize, cultivate and retain teaching, administrative, and support staff talent in a competitive job market.A commitment to preparing students for life beyond high school, including those who will directly join the workforce or military upon graduation.A demonstrated record of working in collaboration with all stakeholders, from school staff to community partners.Outstanding communication skills, visibility in the community and the ability to bring people together.Open-minded, approachable, and the strength to make tough decisions.A commitment to innovation and creativity in meeting the school district’s mission and goals.
