Questar III BOCES is seeking a full-time instructor for our new Education Careers Program as part of our Career and Technical Education (CTE) offerings located at The Donald R. Kline Technical School in Hudson, NY. The program will be starting with the new 24-25 school year and the position will follow the standard 10-month school calendar.This two-year program is designed to prepare students for a career in education. Students learn about traditional teaching careers in elementary, secondary, and post-secondary schools, as well as explore pathways for special education, school psychologists, school counselors, school leadership, and more. Students learn about curriculum development, educational technology, educational theory, classroom management, and more. As part of the program, students will be immersed in experiences within the teaching profession. This is an excellent option for a student looking to hone in on the teaching specialty they wish to explore in their post-secondary education.Candidates with experience teaching at the middle or high school level are encouraged to apply and should be passionate about training the next generation of education professionals. They must also be willing to pursue NYS career and technical teacher certification in Teacher Education and Training Grades 7-12.
