Questar III BOCES has a vacancy for a per diem Social Studies School Improvement Specialist based out of our Central Office in Castleton, NY. This position will provide Professional Development in the area of Social Studies to Questar III component school districts. The school improvement service supports best practices in curriculum and instruction driven by the NYS learning standards, assessments, and current research. Professional Development is tailored to meet the specific needs of each school district. Minimum Qualifications: Proper NYS Permanent or Professional Social Studies certification and 5 years successful teaching experience required. Qualified candidates will have an excellent understanding of the NYS Social Studies Learning Standards and the K-12 Social Studies Framework and related assessments, as well as experience providing Professional Development.
