The salary range for this position is $55,000-$61,000 annuallyThis position requires you to work with individuals on the Autism Spectrum between the ages of 2-22 years old The hours at the school are from 8:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday-Friday RESPONSIBILITIESProvide direct service according to a treatment plan that the PTA develops in collaboration with the supervising PTRecommend modification of treatment approaches for students on caseload to reflect the student’s changing needs. Treatment modifications have to be approved by the supervising PT.Collaborate with PT to develop appropriate plans for the students being supportedCommunicates and interacts with other team members, school personnel, and families in collaboration with a supervising PTDevelop and maintain a daily schedule, which includes sites, students/classrooms and other activities/dutiesMaintain and records accurate records and documentationMaintain high standards of confidentiality, attendance, and flexibility, while working cooperatively with Supervisors and other employeesMaintain and records accurate records and documentationPerform other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or senior managementMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSGraduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA ) program requiredCurrent New York State PTA license to practice requiredExperience working with people with autism highly preferred One to two years’ experience working as a PTA in a related setting, preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work well in a fast-paced professional office environmentAbility to lift 20lbsHighly organized and strong attention to detailMissionQSAC is a New York City and Long Island based nonprofit that supports children and adults with autism, together with their families, in achieving greater independence, realizing their future potential, and contributing to their communities in a meaningful way by offering person-centered services.
