"Urgently Hiring!! Looking to fill as soon as possible!!”Job SummaryThe QSAC Education program is hiring for a dedicated and detailed Curriculum Coordinator that is a BCBA or BCBA eligible candidate. This important role ensures that the program's curriculum is developed and aligned with the NY State Learning Standards and applied in accordance with the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). You will monitor the implementation of the curriculum, oversee curriculum training, and any curriculum adaptations.ResponsibilitiesCurriculum DevelopmentReview daily data collection and record of student progressDevelop with teachers, the IEP goals and objectives that address NYS learning standards using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)Participate in the implementation of student’s IEP using the principles of ABAAlign curriculum and train teacher to utilize the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to teach all new behaviors and shape existing behaviors.Participate in the advancement and implementation of behavior analytic technologiesProvide in situ training and feedback to teachers and assistants/aide on behavior analytic strategies and tacticsDevelop professional and clinical competencies through attendance/participation in workshops and conferencesDevelop Transition plans for school age students ages 14-21Administrative Support & TrainingParticipate in parent training clinics as neededServe as substitute teacher as neededProvide and/or ensure regular communication with parentsMaintain regular communication with classroom and administrative staff regarding student progress, staff progress, and overall class managementMonitor and graph performance/productivityParticipate in the evaluation of staff as neededAttend/participate/develop classroom and or school-wide trainingsProvide support and training for staff on curriculum:Special education requirementsAlternate Assessments (as applicable)NYS Learning StandardsTransition PlanningStudent Quarterly reports:Assist/guide/mentor in the development of annual narrative reports/quarterly reports.Assist in review of progress reports from classroom teachers (as needed)Assist in coding of IEPsQualifications and Work ExperienceVaccination requiredTeaching Certification in Special Education or related degree, required5 years of teaching experience and knowledgeable about NYS Learning Standards requiredBoard Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or BCBA eligibility requiredStrong communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills are essentialMissionQSAC is a New York City and Long Island based nonprofit that supports children and adults with autism, together with their families, in achieving greater independence, realizing their future potential, and contributing to their communities in a meaningful way by offering person-centered services.
