Anticipated Position - 2026-2027 School YearReading TeacherResponsibilitiesThe Putnam Valley Central School District seeks an AIS Reading Teacher to plan and implement targeted reading lessons for students in grades 5-8. Analyze student ELA data to design differentiated reading support lessons, based on progress monitoring, and grade-level benchmarks. Facilitate lessons based on identified areas for student growth. Experience with Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading, and/or Special Class Reading Programs are preferred.QualificationsAppropriate New York State Reading and Literacy certification required for students in grades 5-12.SalarySalary is as per the PVFT collective bargaining agreement:Bachelor’s Degree: minimum $61,779, midpoint $80,853, maximum $103,364; Master’s Degree: minimum $70,428, midpoint $99,753, maximum $132,484BenefitsCompetitive salary.Assigned Mentor.
