Special Education Teacher - High SchoolLeave ReplacementAnticipated September 1, 2024 through January 31, 2025The Putnam Valley Central School District has an anticipated leave replacement vacancy for a special education teacher to provide special education instruction to students with disabilities in grades 9-12 in co-taught and/or small-class settings. This anticipated leave is from September 1, 2024 to approximately January 31, 2025.Responsibilities include IEP preparation, CSE meeting participation, testing as needed, and other duties as required. Effective classroom management techniques, strong instructional skills, and effective teaching strategies are necessary. Experience providing mathematics instruction grades 9-12 is preferred.Qualifications: Appropriate NYS Students with Disabilities certification for grades 9-12 is required. Salary:Salary is as per the PVFT collective bargaining agreement. Salary Range is:Bachelor’s Degree: minimum $60,568, midpoint $76,221, maximum $101,337Master’s Degree: minimum $69,047, midpoint $97,797, maximum $129,886Benefits:Excellent health, dental, vision, and life insurance options.
