Ideal applicant will possess current NYS certification in Special Education/Students with Disabilities and any second NYS Certification to allow optimal flexibility across employee’s term with the district. Alternate certifications sought include Elementary PK-6, Literacy Birth-6, Mathematics 5-9, ESL/ESOL or any combination of these. 2023-2024 assignment is focused on students in grades 1-6.Essential Skills include:Ability to effectively communicate with other members of the instructional team, parents, and administrators Proficient active listening skills to understand and adapt to students’ various learning needsKnowledge of current best practices to apply to a range of learning styles and needsExcellent organization and time management skillsAdvanced technology skills to report student progress, record grades, and present creative lessonsInterest to develop and enrich professional skills for life-long learning
