ANTICIPATED OPENING 2025-2026Special Education Teacher – Part-Time (.7)Dates: August 27, 2025 – June 30, 2026Job Description: The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic NYS Certified, Part-Time (.7) Special Education Social Studies Teacher to join our team. The role involves supporting middle and high school students with IEPs, collaborating with instructional staff, and maintaining compliance with all special education requirements during the leave period.Responsibilities: - Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students' IEP goals- Work collaboratively with general education teachers to support inclusion and accommodations- Manage IEP documentation and progress monitoring- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families and service providers- Support a positive and inclusive learning environment for all studentsQualifications: - Valid NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities 7-12 or SWD All Grades- Valid NYS Certification or SOCE in Social Studies 7-12-Valid NYS Certification or SOCE in Mathematics 7-12- Experience teaching middle and/or high school students preferred- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with colleaguesLocation: TBDSalary: As per contractDeadline to apply: Monday, July 7, 2025
