ANTICIPATED OPENING 2024-2025ELEMENTARY MATH AIS TEACHER -LEAVE REPLACEMENT (SEPTEMBER UNTIL FEBRUARY)The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District is seeking a highly dedicated and collaborative individual to join our team as an Elementary Math AIS Teacher. This leave replacement position will run from October 7, 2024, 2024 until February 3, 2025 and you will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students while fostering a positive and culturally responsive learning environment.Responsibilities: - Provide small group and individualized math instruction to students identified as needing additional support.- Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement intervention plans tailored to each student’s needs.- Utilize data-driven instruction to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents/guardians and other staff members.- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and encouraged.Key Qualifications: - Motivated and passionate about teaching mathematics- Experience working with elementary students in a classroom- Strong understanding of math concepts and effective instructional strategies for young learners.Requirements: - Must have approved NYS DOE Teaching Certificate in Childhood Education 1-6- Excellent communication and organizational skillsLocation: Pasadena Elementary School/Old Bethpage Elementary School/Judy Jacob Parkway Elementary SchoolEffective Date: October 7, 2024 Deadline to Apply: Tuesday, September 10, 2024
