ANTICIPATED OPENING 2024-2025MATHEMATICS TEACHER-LEAVE REPLACEMENT (SEPTEMBER UNTIL FEBRUARY)The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District Mathematics Department is seeking a highly dedicated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Middle School/High School Mathematics Teacher. This is leave replacement position will run from October 9, 2024, 2024 until January 7, 2025 and you will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students while fostering a positive and culturally responsive learning environment.Responsibilities: - Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the New York State Next Generation Mathematics Learning Standards- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning for a diverse group of students - Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and shared best practices- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleaguesKey Qualifications: - Motivated and passionate about teaching mathematics- Previous experience teaching middle school math is preferred- Strong understanding of middle school curriculum and instructional strategiesRequirements: - Must have approved NYS DOE Teaching Certificate in Mathematics 7-12- Excellent communication and organizational skillsLocation: POB Middle SchoolEffective Date: August 28, 2024Deadline to Apply: Tuesday, September 10, 2024
