ANTICIPATED OPENING 2025-2026MATHEMATICS TEACHER-FULL YEAR LEAVE REPLACEMENTThe Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District’s Mathematics Department is seeking a highly dedicated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Secondary Mathematics Leave Replacement Teacher. This position is a full year assignment to cover a leave of absence and you will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students while fostering a positive, inclusive and culturally responsive learning environment. Responsibilities: - Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with The New York State Next Generation Mathematics Learning Standards.- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning for a diverse group of students.- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and shared best practices.- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and collogues. Key Qualifications: - Motivated and passionate about teaching mathematics.- Previous experience teaching middle school math is preferred.- Strong understanding of middle school curriculum and instructional strategies.Requirements: - New York State teaching certification in Mathematics 7-12.- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
