Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates a full-time need for a Database Assistant to join our Adult Education Department. Candidate responsibilities to include: Manage ASISTS database on behalf of the Adult Literacy program to include creating course codes and maintaining student enrollment/attendance/tracking data for all adult literacy students participating in the program Regularly utilize Microsoft Office platforms for purposes of data analysis and communicating with program staff Collaborate with Coordinator of Adult Education & Workforce Development to develop and maintain systems for communicating with adult literacy staff and gathering required student information as required by NYSED Run various reports in ASISTS on a regular basis; analyze trends in a variety of data in relation to established benchmarks and timelines Analyze student & program level data to ensure compliance with NYSED regulations and EPE funding requirements; collaborate with the Coordinator of Adult Education & Workforce Development on appropriate, data-based programmatic decisions Collaborate with, and support the general day-to-day functioning of the office team in administering the adult literacy program Attend a minimum of 14hrs of professional development each school year offered by the Regional Adult Education Network (RAEN) as required by NYSED Answer general questions about Adult Education programs offered by PNW BOCES and promote program offerings in a positive and proactive manner Qualifications: Must qualify through Civil Service.
