Duties: Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates a vacancy for a Work Based Learning Coordinator. Duties of position, include, but are not limited to:Oversee and monitor all work-based learning sites and opportunities for all secondary students;Cultivate community, agency, and business partnerships to benefit both the community and our students;Analyze and determine appropriate student placements based on student vocational assessment data;Track and analyze performance data to determine possible educational and/or work based program modifications;Track and analyze the student’s post-BOCES employment performance;Partner with businesses and industries with community-based organizations, and with others to increase WBL experience opportunities;Develop, monitor, and maintain paperwork related to WBL experiences including memorandum of agreements, certificate of insurance, sign-offs from all involved, etc.;Work with staff to regularly update employability profiles and Transition Plans;Work to connect graduating students with job openings.Qualifications: Must be NYSED certified and have a Work-Based Learning Coordinator certification.Characteristics Desired: Must be well-organized and exhibit strong planning skills and follow-through. Must have strong interpersonal skills to work well with public, administrators, teachers, and support staff. Successful candidates must have a positive, can-do attitude and be committed to the PNW BOCES Mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.
