Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates the need for an Assistant Superintendent for Business. This position will provide leadership and guidance to all departments from a business perspective.Key Responsibilities are as follows:Budget Development & Operations: Lead the budget preparation process, ensuring alignment with the BOCES’ strategic goals and compliance with regulations.Executive Leadership: Serve on the District Superintendent’s cabinet, contributing to high-level decision-making and strategic planning.Chief Financial Officer Duties: Act as the Chief Financial Officer of the PNW Health Benefits Consortium, overseeing financial operations and ensuring fiscal responsibility.Workers’ Compensation Consortium: Serve as a trustee for the PNW BOCES Workers’ Compensation Consortium, managing related financial matters.Liaison Role: Act as the primary liaison with component school business officials, fostering collaboration and sharing best practices.Staff Recruitment: Oversee the recruitment and selection process for all Business Office staff, ensuring the hiring of qualified candidates who align with the organization’s mission.QUALIFICATIONS:Candidates must possess a valid New York State Education Department issued School District Business Leader or School Business Administrator certificate.CHARACTERISTICS DESIRED:Candidates must be highly organized, flexible, and have excellent computer skills, effective communication, and problem-solving skills. A positive, can-do attitude is a must with a commitment to the PNW BOCES mission of service and innovation through partnership. Must be extremely confidential and pay close attention to detail.
