Duties: Putnam|Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates a need for an experienced Teaching Assistant for the 2025-2026 school year to assist classroom teachers in the instruction and management of students with disabilities. Must be able to conduct class in teacher’s absence.This appointment will include a 4-year probationary period and lead to a possible recommendation for Tenure.Qualifications: Certification as a Teaching Assistant or Teacher (Special Education preferred) required.Characteristics Desired: Must be able to form positive relationships with students. Experience teaching students with various disabilities, especially those transitioning to adult services, preferred. Experience with job readiness preparation preferred. Must be highly organized, dedicated, and able to work independently and in multiple teams.
