Duties: Putnam|Northern Westchester BOCES is seeking a Summer IT Assistant (Seasonal Technical Support Specialist) to assist the Information Technology department staff with projects and tasks on a part-time basis. Projects/tasks include, but are not limited to: receiving assets into inventory, performing physical inventory tasks, deploying new technology, moving equipment across/within campuses, staging equipment for building activities, reconnecting equipment, creating documentation, imaging/testing computers, patching computers, and other duties as assigned.Qualifications: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and one (1) year of work experience installing, configuring and/or troubleshooting computer hardware and software.Characteristics Desired: The ability to follow directions with a focus on quality work, attention to detail, and consistency. Able to work independently or with little to no supervision. Experience with PCs is a must. Successful candidates must have a positive, can-do attitude with a commitment to the PNW BOCES Mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.
