Duties: Putnam|Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates the need for an experienced Teacher at Fox Meadow High School for the 2024 – 2025 school year teaching Construction-Carpentry to students with disabilities. Job responsibilities will include teaching courses, providing accurate assistance to students, adhering to student IEPs, and supporting school initiatives including campus improvement projects.Qualifications: Teacher Certification in Construction-Carpentry instruction along with industry experience. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of Carpentry including supply ordering and oversight, project development and management, and equipment safety.Characteristics Desired: Must be able to form positive relationships with students. Experience teaching students with various disabilities and diverse needs, especially those transitioning to adult services. Experience with job readiness preparation preferred. Must be highly organized, dedicated, able to work independently, and have the ability to work in multiple teams. Successful candidates must have a positive, can-do attitude and be committed to the BOCES Mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.
