Duties: Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES is seeking a part-time COVID Coordinator to collaborate with the Human Resources Department and department leadership to oversee the district’s COVID Contact Tracing and Testing protocols.Duties may include, but are not limited, to:Coordinate all aspects of school-based COVID testing and contact tracing districtwide (staff & students);Serve as the frontline resource to answer questions and requests related to testing services provided by the district;Create and maintain comprehensive school contact tracing lists and testing database and prepare/submit reports as necessary;Serve as liaison to local county health departments and BOCES;Represent district upon supervisor's request at local, regional and statewide activities as they relate to the area of responsibility.Qualifications: General knowledge of COVID-19 symptom identification and mitigation protocols; knowledge of COVID-19 testing protocols and lab reporting requirements; knowledge of occupational health and safety and related standards for personal protection equipment required for COVID-19.Characteristics Desired: The ability to communicate effective, both orally and in writing. Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position. Successful candidates must have a positive, can-do attitude with a commitment to the BOCES Mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.
