Duties: Putnam|Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates the need for an experienced Teacher at Fox Meadow High School for the 2024-2025 school year teaching Culinary Arts to students with disabilities. Job responsibilities will include teaching courses, adhering to student IEPs, and supporting school initiatives including the school store and PBIS.Qualifications: Teacher Certification in Culinary Arts instruction along with industry experience in the culinary arts. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of the culinary arts including food production, knowledge of food safety, and front office operations.Characteristics Desired: Must be able to form positive relationships with students. Experience teaching students with various disabilities and diverse needs, especially those transitioning to adult services. Experience with job readiness preparation preferred. Must be highly organized, dedicated, able to work independently, and have the ability to work in multiple teams. Successful candidates must have a positive, can-do attitude and be committed to the BOCES Mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.
