Duties: Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES is seeking SkillsUSA Advisors. Advisors would be responsible for the following:Managing registrations for studentsInterfacing with the NYS SkillsUSA regarding competitions, memberships and club activitiesSelecting officers to represent the clubAttending all regional meetings and competitionsAttending the NYS Competition in SyracuseAttending the Fall Leadership Conference in AlbanyPlanning community service activities for the students to participate inThere will be a $1,500 annual stipend for this appointmentQualifications: Current Teacher or Teaching Assistant. Familiar with SkillsUSA at the local and national level.Characteristics Desired: Successful candidates must have a positive, can-do attitude and be committed to the PNW BOCES Mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.
