Putnam|Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates an opening for a School Psychologist at our FoxMeadow HS program which serves Special Education students with various learning and social-emotional disabilities. The position will entail working with students at the Fox Meadow HS, as well as supporting the Intensive Therapeutic Support Program (ITSP), which provides an intermediate educational placement for students in acute crisis or in need of a period of transition. Duties for the two programs include completing psychoeducational assessments, providing indicated IEP individual and group counseling services, collaborating with other professionals and/or agencies that provide services, consulting with and providing support to special education teachers, completing Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans, working with students' families and support networks, providing referral and linking services for both students and families, assisting families in completing necessary applications for recommended services, and maintaining accurate documentation of services provided.QUALIFICATIONS: NYS School Psychologist certification required. Preferred candidates will be bilingual and/or knowledge of MTSS systems DBT, behavior analysis preferred. Preferred candidates will also have their BCBA.CHARACTERISTICS DESIRED:Extensive knowledge of approaches for students with autism and social-emotional disabilities. Ability to positively manage student behavior in a school setting. Must be organized and have ability to work with multiple teams.
