Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES is seeking a School Business Administrator reporting directly to the Assistant Superintendent for Business to join a high functioning Business Office in a school setting. Responsibilities include: supervising business office support personnel, accounting, payroll, purchasing, food service, educational printing service, preparation of financial statements, audit management, submission of state reports, and overall leadership of the department. Additional duties to include: advise the administration and BOCES Board of the financial condition of the agency, available financial resources, and the financial implications of immediate and long-range developments and/or plans assist the Assistant Superintendent for Business in development of the BOCES budget and related publications manage the BOCES capital projects and serves as a liaison with bond counsel and fiscal advisors supervise the maintenance of district-wide inventories of school property and equipment supervise non-instructional operations of the agency including programs and staff (food service, educational printing service, etc.) responsible for investment of board and consortium funds in accordance with statute and board policy Qualifications: Knowledge of school district/BOCES finance as well as General Municipal Law. Must be SDBL or SBA certified. Characteristics Desired: Successful candidate must be an honest, self-starter that is dedicated and capable of leading and encouraging a strong team. A servant leader with top-notch decision making skills is desired. Must have a positive, can-do attitude and a passion to further the BOCES mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.
