Duties: Providing Center for Environmental Education (EE) programming to local schools in our region. Individuals with strong educational experience and a good working knowledge of / interest in the natural world are oriented toward specific EE programs and will work with several groups of students over the course of the school year to help them cultivate their understanding and appreciation for the natural world. Duties include, but are not limited to:To provide environmental education instruction between the hours of 9 AM and 2:05 PM on the following days:October 25, 26, 27December 6, 7, 8February 14, 15, 16March 28, 29, 30May 9, 10, 11To attend training the week prior to each month’s instructional days. To provide additional environmental education programming as needed and as available.Qualifications: 2 years of educational experience with students in grades K-5 and a 4 year degree in an area of natural science (e.g. biology or natural resource management) or equivalent knowledge base.Characteristics Desired: Candidates must be highly organized, flexible, and have effective communication and problem-solving skills. Successful candidates must have a positive, can-do attitude and be committed to the BOCES Mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.
